Hey guys, here is another VGM cover for your enjoyment. For this cover I have chosen a song from the Doom franchise. The soundtrack to the first two games is definitely a Metalheads delight, and so is the perfect track for me to do a cover of, considering I mostly do metal covers on this channel. I have already learnt other songs from this game so you’ll no doubt see more Doom covers from this channel in future.

I didn’t bother changing the style or arrangement of most of this song like I do with my other covers. Instead I’ve played it exactly like the original. Essentially think of this cover as the original version with live instruments.

Most of the lead guitar I managed to play note for note except for the fast shreddy parts, which I wasn’t able to play at the correct speed so instead I just played some trills over it. Not as good as the original parts but good enough. This time round I wanted to incorporate the finger plucking technique on the bass in this cover. Unlike my previous cover the bass part was a lot simpler to play. I must say though by the end of the track my right harm was exhausted because of the tempo. Overall however I am quite happy with the result.
