Summer has arrived and seasonal pruning is in full flight. At Fat Cow Farm we collect all our cuttings and recycle them via chipping and shredding. We then use all the mulch for the garden, fruit trees, vegetable garden etc. Rather than collecting all the cuttings and burning them we repurpose to protect the soils from drying out, chicken coop material, add carbon and nutrients back into the soils. We use a simple logic, everything that was growing gets mulched and placed back into the soils. Happy soils, happy plants.
