One of Nintendo’s most recent games is the unconventional shooter game, Splatoon. As someone who has traditionally shied away from the shooter genre due to its often violent and hyper-competitive nature, Splatoon offered a refreshing alternative that completely shifted my perspective.

My discovery of Splatoon and its vibrant, ink-splattering world has shifted my Opinion. From its colorful and quirky aesthetic to its innovative gameplay mechanics centered around painting turf rather than simply eliminating foes, Splatoon captured my attention in a way no other shooter had before.
