We reach the canyons of Kalbarri and discover what it means to be in flies country.

In the previous episode we overtook our biggest mechanical challenge on this world tour journey. Which meant… we were ready to take the road again. What a liberation, suddenly we were free to move again. Time to continue our lap of Australia that had been interrupted way too early.

To start, we need to go slowly to be sure everything is in order with our new engine. So this week we head north and travel to the coloured Hutt Lagoon and the superb west Australian coastline until the estuary of the Murchison river. From there we rally the Kalbarri National Park its canyons and thousands of flies. Everywhere, at all time, all over. Clouds of bush flies buzzing non-stop around our heads. We had heard it could get intense but had not quite anticipated it would get that intense.
