AUDIOVISUAL INSTALLATION
Today, the almost non-functional building once consisted not only of a high-rise garage but also a car wash, a workshop, an administrative building, and a fuel cell. During the "AUDRA", the building became an art scene for the first time - featuring an exclusive audiovisual installation "Hiding from the inside". █
This joint work of the representatives of Lithuanian audiovisual art - Kamilė Rimkutė, Naurimas Michailiuk, Domas Verikas, Vilius Smalinskas, and Paulius Varonenka - took spectators to unfamiliar and indefinite spaces, and the rays created by light will highlight and redraw the existing seven-story and two huge spiral structures.

The installation was initiated and produced by the Lizdas club. "AUDRA" festival itself was the most important festival of the "Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022" program.

KAUNAS TAXI PARK
The new complex at the time, completed in 1978, consisted of an administrative building, a car wash, a repair shop, a gas station, a dispatch room, a shelter, and a huge seven-story garage. In total, the complex employed 1,800 people, of whom 1,200 were taxi drivers. In 1981, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the taxi park, there were already more than 600 light taxi cars. At that time, more than 51 thousand people used the services of taxi drivers per day and about 18 million per year.
The most interesting part of the taxi park is two huge, spiral-shaped flyovers, which could take two cars up or down at the same time. They led all the way to the top and the roof of the garage. Now the garage of the taxi park is left to the will of fate, and only some companies are located on the lower floors. Vandals have left broken windows here, through which you can climb in if you want.
