On August 5th, 2022, I was lucky enough to make a short trip to Morton Grove, IL to catch Soo Line class L1 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotive # 1003 as she came to a stop. Although she was nearly an hour late, it was worth it.

"SOO LINE HAS LANDED ON MARS!"
