Getting around a the City of Nanning with a population of 7 million people can be difficult. The new Subway makes this task so much easier. It's air conditioned, modern,inexpensive,clean, convenient and most of all very fast. What used to take 45 minutes on an e-bike takes 15 minutes and there is no weather to contend with. The machines are in English and in Chinese so a foreigner has no problems using the system just so long as you know where you are and where you are going. The subway has an underground mall at most every stop with shops and restaurants. McDonald's and Sheep hotpot are just two of the many. The only problem is it shuts down at 10:30 pm so if you don't go home early your taking a taxi.
