The Burmese did control Luang Prabang and Bientiane for a brief while, Vietnam didn't play as crucial of a role in the occupation of the three kingdoms at the collapse of Lan Xang.

Siam (Thailand) forcibly expelled Laotians from the eastern bank of the Mekong and relocated them into the Isan (Khorat) region and captured them as slaves.

Sorry for the misspronounciations of Laotian names, lmao.
