Overview
The Nord yacht is owned by Russian billionaire businessman Alexey Mordashov, who purchased it for an alleged 500 million dollars. Work on the Nord began in 2016 back when the project was called project Opus and it took the shipyard, Lürssen 5 years to complete it.
The Nord yacht is a beauty to behold both inside and out as this expensive floating vessel was constructed to specifications laid out by its owner. The yacht was designed by Italian design duo Carlos Nuvolari and Den Lenard who have penned out some of the best yacht designs in the world. Their designs continue to break records in one way or the other. The Nord was no different as it exceeded expectations once it made it out of the shipyard in Germany. With the hull built using the finest steel and the main structure constructed with aluminum and teak laid decks the Nord is something of a luxurious warship.

Exterior
What would a $500 million hatch be without a dedicated helipad for its owner to land and take off at any point at sea, well Nord yacht has not one but 2 helipads. The enormous helicopter landing pad, which is located on the bridge deck level, is complete with a gold downside platform that is designed to provide shelter to the yacht’s helicopter. And that’s not all, Nord yacht is designed in such a way that it is able to safely store away the helicopter on a retractable hangar that reclines into the bowels of the superyacht when not in use, and opens up when needed for take off. There are also a large swimming pool and beach club located aft of the vessel
