This video is a remaster of my older video that features the national/imperial anthems of historical great empires. Take note that this is just made for educational/historical purposes.

This video includes the following:
Great empires (even without colonies) that became dominant through conquest, such as the French Empire, the Austrian Empire (and Austria-Hungary), the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, the Qing Empire, and the Empire of Japan.
Countries that possessed a colonial empire, even if their country is not a monarchy nor a great power. This includes the British Empire, the French colonial empire, the Dutch Empire, the German Empire, and the Belgian colonial empire (I included it despite Belgium being far from a great power because owning the Congo already brings a lot of clout to the country), the Danish colonial empire, the Spanish Empire, the Italian Empire, and the Portuguese Empire.
Even if the United States does not consider itself an empire, I still included it this time because it possessed major colonies, such as the Philippines. A lot of people also perceive the United States as an imperialist, albeit in a different manner from the British or Germans.
I also included the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth because it was a great European power before its partition, and quite a bit of people were looking for this country in the original video. One of its vassals (Duchy of Courland and Semigallia) tried colonization as well, but it did not last long.

This video does not include the following:
Empires that may not be considered "great empires" in the same way great empires in this video are. Their global influence is much more limited and they are basically kingdoms but with fancier titles. This includes the Korean Empire, the Ethiopian Empire, the Mexican Empire, and the Empire of Brazil (sorry, but I don't consider the Empire of Brazil as a great power, but a regional power at best).
Communist global powers such as the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China. While some people argue that the Soviet Union implemented measures that outsiders can consider imperialist, they distance themselves from traditional imperialism and claim to oppose it. The United States is included however because it did possess colonies and a lot advocated for American imperialism, but I don't see the same thing in the USSR.
Great empires that did not have an anthem. Most of the empires in this video are fairly modern, and that is because the concept of a national anthem is also fairly modern. Hence, no Roman Empire or Mongol Empire.
The Third Reich. Don't ask. Just kidding, even if the Third Reich can be considered an empire in some sense, including it in this video even uncensored might be too dangerous for this already controversial video.

As a result, not all countries that are considered empires are included here.

*The years shown throughout the video correspond to the years when the empire started and ended. Meanwhile, the years at the top right indicate when the anthem was adopted by the empire.
*I have no idea why at 18:41 Denmark was marked as part of the German Empire (too late now) but it truly wasn't a part of it.
