In this essay I talk about Minecraft's current resurge in popularity, heralded in by Minecraft celebrities like Dream, TommyInnit, Sapnap, GeorgeNotFound, Ranboo, etc. In the video I talk about how long this popularity is going to last for, and how long Minecraft will last for. Also, while i might not mention it in the video, Mojang’s recent decisions with the 1.19.1 update have certainly given people many strong opinions on the future of the game, and where minecraft might be 2-4 years from now if the chat report feature stays in the game.
