Folks, research the siamese algae eater a bit, and it's fairly agreed upon that they do a great job eating black beard / black brush algae, especially when they are juveniles. Though I've never personally caught them in the act, I wanted to try a little experiment here at the den. I had the black beard algae growth, I had a juvenile siamese algae eater, so I wanted to put the two of them together to see what would happen.
I made no other changes to the 10 gallon tank you'll see in the video,, except that I moved my juvenile siamese algae eater from my 15 gallon tank to the 10 gallon tank - right where the black beard / black brush algae was growing. Turned about to be an interesting little experiment. Here are the results!
