Each November sees AcWriMo (or, Academic Writing Month) make its annual appearance. Over the course of the month, academics, researchers, and scholars alike set themselves writing targets and goals, and then set out to achieve them, using the motivation - or pressure - of their colleagues, friends, and the Twittersphere to spur them along the way.

This year marks my first attempt at giving AcWriMo a go, and I've given myself two major targets: write a conference abstract, and write an article! Over the course of this video, I chronicle the highs, the lows, and my attempts at chipping away at wordcounts. How well do I do in the end? You'll have to watch to find out!

This video also serves as the first proper glimpse into the state of my research in the second year of my PhD! What exactly is post-truth, and what are its effects? Where and when has it been used, and why? Again, you'll just have to watch the video to find out!
