The Bear's second season follows Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) as he tries to open a new restaurant with the money his brother Mikey (Jon Bernthal) left him at the end of the first season. Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) is worried that he’ll never find his purpose and that leads to a major turnaround for the character when he stages for a week at the best restaurant in the world.

Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) starts wondering if she made a mistake going into business with Carmy when he gets distracted by his old crush Claire (Molly Gordon). Syd begins to question if she can trust her new partner after spending most of the season working on the restaurant without him.

The second season’s sixth episode is a flashback to a family Christmas dinner where we meet more of the extended family and get a better understanding of how difficult Carm’s mother Donna (Jamie Lee Curtis) can be. “Fishes” is one of the show’s most intense episodes and features guest actor roles from Sarah Paulson, John Mulaney, Jamie Lee Curtis, Gillian Jacobs, and Bob Odenkirk.
