Finally, after 4 takes, I’m officially uploading my RISD / Pratt portfolio walkthrough!

Yes, 4 takes… I’ve tried since January, but since I stuttered so much and rambled (even more than this), I gave up on the footage every time. I was determined to put this video out though!! I found these videos super helpful when I was creating my portfolio, so this is my way of giving back to the community! ✧ ─=≡Σ((( つ•̀ω•́)つ

I’m so sorry for the uneven audio and choppiness because omg cicadas!!! I mean, that’s summer for you,,, I shouldn’t blame anything but my dumbass for dragging the project into summer.

Random things to add that didn’t have a place in the video:

💖 Pratt and RISD are the only 2 schools I’ve applied to. I applied to RISD Early Decision (binding) and to Pratt with Early Action (non-binding) both on November 1, 2018.
💖 I didn’t have a portfolio teacher, nor did I go to an art studio when making my portfolio. I created most of these projects on my own time. The projects from my high school art program definitely contributed to my portfolio.
💖 I didn't take any AP courses; just took regular high school courses.
💖 RISD unfortunately does not give scholarships to international students… (╥﹏╥) I’ve never done competitions before, but I did win a merit scholarship from high school [Jason Sincarsin Memorial Scholarship].
💖 My portfolio was created from February 2017 – September 2018.
💖 My main extracurricular outside of the usual school club involvement is playing badminton competitively.
💖 I never went to portfolio day before, but I did get feedback from RISD through AICAD. https://www.aicad.org/

Just a friendly reminder out of personal experience: Please do not compare your art with mine or any other art YouTuber out there. Art is already so underappreciated; there’s no need to tear yourself down over another artist. I made a mistake of watching too many portfolio videos to the point where it was no longer inspirational or motivational. So, don't be like me and take care of yourself!
