If you are running out of space in the garage like I was, this could be a good project to consider. I built this ATV rack in just over a day (it took longer because I needed to make a trip to pick up the winch). It cost just under $250 in materials, consisting of wood, winch, screws, bolts, and hooks and eyelets.
Now I can fit the Vette, the jeep, the Harley, and 2 quadzillas in the garage, along with all the other junk. The quads easily stack on top of each other, using a wall mounted 120v winch to pull them up. I also made a set of detachable ramps.
Its mainly made from 2x6's with some 2x4's and 3/4 inch plywood. I used 3" deck screws to attach the pieces initially, then installed 4 3" lag bolts in each corner.
Please let me know what you think!
