That title might be just a bit hyperbolic, but I think it's safe to say that military moe is my favorite anime genre. Something about the mix between cute anime girls and military-esque stuff, be it tanks, warships, planes, starfighters, or even just guns, just works so well together.

But why, exactly? What is it about military moe that makes this combination of two seemingly contradictory things work, and what makes a quality military moe offering.

Well, in part since I'm creating my own military moe manga, I've given it some thought; I hope this video doesn't come off as too rambly XD; somethimes it's hard to put this sort of thing into words.
