Abu Garcia 6500 C3 Catfish Special Carpmaster Will it 100 yard cast. It was a gorgeous day here in Indiana extremely nice for this time of year. We were itching to get out and do something so we decided to make a few cast with some Abu Garcia 6500 lime green carpmaster reels I bought from a friend a couple months ago. If your wondering what a carpmaster is, well its basically the same thing as a abu garcia C3 it just has a different gear ratio like the catfish special, and is available in special colors. We were able to get over 100 yards with 2 of the 3 reels and the other was very close. I believe it would have made it pretty easy if the wind had not got it.
