Want to know what tests you may have to undergo after a cancerous tumor is found in your rectum? I’ll walk you through the five tests that I had done in the first two weeks following my diagnosis. These tests were used to find out my cancer staging (was it deep in the rectal lining, had it moved to lymph nodes, had it spread to other organs?) and also to assist doctors on my team in getting a better view of what my insides looked like for different treatments.

Here is the list of all the tests and the dates (all in 2016) I went in for each:
#1 - CT Scan on May 31
#2 - Rectal Endoscopic Ultrasound on June 3
#3 - Mapping CT Scan on June 8
#4 - MRI on June 13
#5 - PET Scan on June 15
