Maria, 12, writes a poem from the perspective of a seven-year-old about to experience a devastating loss.

"I like Romania very much," says Maria, who fled war in Ukraine with her mother. "It's a beautiful country, with beautiful people. But I miss my father, my friends and my old school."

Her poem reflects the tragic experiences of so many children affected by war. They need peace now.
