I have used SolidWorks in illustrating how to do a stress simulation on a chair designed with hollow steel bars.

The chair is designed to be manufactured with 50mm X 25mm and 25mm X 25mm hollow box bars with 1.5 mm wall thickness.

This video speaks about two failure scenarios.

1, Failure due to direct loading or sitting with a person weighting (90 to 100 kg).

2, Failure due to misusing the chair or rocking.


This video contains only on how a stress simulation is done to this chair. Further videos will show how it is renders, how the full chair is assembled, and how it will be manufactured.
