🔧Welcome to our repair guide. Today, we're working with an old Servis washing machine, model number M6856W, which we'll be dismantling for parts. (https://www.how-to-repair.com/servis-...)
Before proceeding with the dismantling, we encountered a common issue with older washing machines – a broken door handle, preventing access to the inside. To solve this, we used a hook screwdriver. This tool, shaped like a screwdriver but with a pointed, curved tip, is perfect for dealing with this issue. Insert the hook under the door handle, then turn it 45 degrees. The door will open easily, bypassing the need for a functioning handle.
