木リト（もくりと）は木によるリトグラフです。1970年代の終わり頃、多摩美術大学の小作青史教授（現在、名誉教授）によって考案されました。板に描いた絵はアラビアゴム液を塗ると時間の経過と共に自然に版になっていきます。刷りまでに何日も置けばそれだけ強い版となります。
今回の動画はあえて短時間でのワークショップを想定して木リトの小品を制作してみました。
アラビアゴムの寝かし時間は1時間でも数枚の刷りならば白い領域を作る効果が得られます。ポイントはソリッドマーカーを良く乾かすことで、特に削る時にはカスの付着に注意します。

この動画では角田元美考案のキャンディばれんを使用し、かきた紙、ハーネミューレ（厚口）を湿さずに刷っています。もちろんプレス機や足刷り（紙湿し必要）でも刷ることができます。

Mokulito LIVE 76　 For short workshops　

Mokulito is "Lithograph on Wood".
It was devised and developed by Professor (currently Professor Emeritus) Ozaku Seishi of Tama Art University in the late 1970s.

If you apply gum arabic on the board, it will naturally become a plate over time.　 If you leave it for many days before printing, it will become a stronger printing plate.
I dared to make this video for a short workshop.　The point is to dry the Sakura Solid Marker well. And especially when scratching, paying attention to the adhesion of debris.

In this video, Mokulito is printed on thick dry paper using candy baren devised by Motomi Tsunoda. Of course, you can also print with a press or Foot pressure printing (requires paper wetting).

I want to share the fun of print making and “Lithograph on Wood“ called “mokulito“ with people around the world.
