Best Free Camping With Amenities In Northwestern New Mexico | El Malpais National Monument

Located just inside the El Malpais National Monument, the Joe Skeen Campground is an absolutely free site with an allowance of 7 days stay. A visit here is one of peace and relaxation as you can adventure by day in the sandstone bluff area just up the road before returning for a peaceful nights rest in the quiet of the campground. Despite being a free campground there are vault toilets, trash cans, covered picnic areas and fire rings. Come enjoy discovering the beauty of Joe Skeen with me!
