A documentary tour of the amazing abandoned Bodie Ghost State Historic Park/Town off of Hwy 395 near Bridgeport, California in the High Sierra mountains at over 8,000' elevation. The town is a true historical relic and is amazingly well preserved in "arrested decay" with great stories. Some say its haunted with original relics still in the buildings. It was operational as late as 1942 when it was closed for the war. Unfortunately it never returned to operation after the war. We travel the dirt road to arrive at this old California Gold Mining Town. Come along as we tour the various attractions and give some history along the way. Tours of the huge Standard Mine/Mill are available at specific times.
