Kick 2, a sine wave generator, is a brilliant VST plugin for synthesizing kick drums. In electronic music, you have three main components that make up a kick - the transient, body and sub fundamental. Once you understand the anatomy of a kick and the ways in which you can introduce character through harmonics, processing and the layering of samples, you’ll be able to synthesise your own kick drums all directly inside Kick 2. When you’re happy with what you’ve created, save your preset in the user library to use again.
