/ mintvolcano   - A Sun《陽光普照》(2019) directed by Chung Mong-hong is a Taiwanese film that has seem some recent buzz and support for a nomination for best international feature at this year's Oscars. The film has many unique qualities, it mixes high drama with comedy and is beautifully shot. There is also fantastic acting from the ensemble cast. A Sun would make a great nominee for best international Oscar and would be he first film in a long time from Taiwan to be nominated so we have our fingers crossed for Chung Mong-hong. Maybe he'll be the next Ang Lee! Enjoy the review!

The Mint Volcano channel will be uploading more review of Taiwanese cinema, films, movies, Netflix shows as well as reviews of films from other Asian countries such as Hong Kong, China, Japan and more.
