What is Hallmark? When do I need it on my jewelry pieces? Is it worth it to have my own mark? Which goods need to be hallmarked? In this video, we go through the most asked questions when the topic is about Hallmarking!

Some of our customers design their Collections in Sterling Silver to be below the weight requirement so they don't have to legally Hallmark their goods. Some manufacturers, like ourselves, offer the 925 Stamp in all Silver items, so it is important to check with your Manufacturer as they can offer this too. In the UK, the requirements are more strict than in other countries, due to the weight of tradition (the Assay Office has been hallmarking goods for about 700 years!).

Since there is no legal requirement to Hallmark in the US, the only way to control the quality of your pieces (either you buy them or have them produced), is to have random checks done to your jewellery.
