We shot this series at BUILD Chicago a youth center that provides resources to the community, I was amazed at their facility they have so many ways to create from art, woodworking, music recording, podcasting it's a beautiful place that I sure which was around when I was younger.

Back on episode 22 of the podcast, Yues mentioned bringing on some of her students that she works with as a youth advocate. Pat (aka Yuskii Da G) is one of those students from Roberto Clemente High School, he's about to graduate and is looking forward to continuing his education in music. From the short amount of time I spent with Pat I could tell he's a superstar, we get into how he got into music, where his name came from coincidently has the same nickname as Yues, and where his mindset is at compared to his peers.

Yues talks about how much different her "style" as an artist has changed from painting more spiritual things to the work she does now, she wishes she didn't throw away all of her old pieces because she would love to look back at it, we've seen a lot of artists just throw away their work and start fresh but I think it's important to keep everything so people can see the progression. Pat still has alot of his older music out there and we encourage him to keep it there to look back on, he's been making music since he was 6 and feels he is just now finding his sound.

I'm reminded of how unprepared I was at his age and how many resources a program like BUILD can provide to the youth. I know Yuskii is on the right path he's staying away from all the things he shouldn't be into and you can tell is focused on his passion. Yuskii just dropped a new project "The Icon" is on all platforms now! I think it's a hit but listen to it for yourself. I'm excited to see where Yuskii goes and hope to have him back on in a few years to see all that he's progressed.
