Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained.
As voted for by everyone in the latest poll, today we’ll be exploring Smile, the 2022 psychological horror written and directed by Parker Finn.

Starring Sosie Bacon, Jessie T Usher, Kal Penn, Caitlin Stasey, Kyle Gallner and Robin Weigert - it follows Rose Cotter, a psychiatrist that begins to lose her mind after witnessing the traumatic death of a patient.

Based on his 2020 short film, Laura Hasn’t Slept, about a girl looking for a therapist to cure her nightmares, Smile effectively puts us in the shoes of the psychiatrist Laura goes to see.

The issue of course being that Rose also has a hidden trauma from her childhood trying to rear its ugly head, with the melding of both leading to disastrous consequences and a frightening game of cat and mouse.
