This demo shows how to work with the monoprinting process to explore the potential of mark making and how you can apply this to your own work. I will explore this further in future videos to look at how this will work with non abstract compositions, such as a still life, landscape or even portraits.

FREE monoprint now included with each order of the monoprinting booklet (limited supply)

This is a very simple process to try and the most important thing to remember is always use very small amounts of paint, you can always build up the layers but if you add too much paint at the start it will be difficult to work on the composition. Always try to work with good quality oil paint as the cheaper paint tends to be to be thin and contain too much oil. I use Winsor & Newton for this demo and find the quality ideal.
