As many you know, I'm a double as Bono from U2. I've worked for Bono himself several times over the years and he's even recommended me. I hardly every post anything about my work because it's only a part of who I am and been hearing the look alike thing since 1979. Gratefully, it has opened wonderful travels, doors, friendships, moments of inspiration and if anything, reminded me that people love Bono, his humanitarian contributions to the world, the music and lyrics from U2.

I needed to leave Romania, along the Ukraine border while I was doing humanitarian work and was invited to visit friends in Italy. After my trip to Bologna and causing a fun scene (Where's Bono now?) all over the news for a week, I was brought to the south of Italy for a few days to meet with my friend of many years ( Angelo Tortora) to visit and do some promotional work in Bisceglia, Italy. Such an incredibly lovely town. I've met with his friends and family and could not have been made a happier and more humbled man by the kindness, generosity, and overall presence of people who love one another. People gathered for the important reminder that we are on this planet for a short time and sharing the loving presence of one another is a gift. It is a gift, it is a gift. No phones or social media while we are in each other's company. I loved it so much, that I've become a little addicted to the embrace now removing myself from the bullshit of immediate and accessible media. I was living the life one dreams of: good friends, good food, good weather with the genuine presence wrapped like a present from the universe.
I'm still reeling in the few days I stayed there and Bologna, ate glorious food, drank delicious coffee, swam in the Adriatic sea, drove around other ancient towns, embraced, kissed cheeks, sang songs to people, sang songs together with people where we entwined ourselves in choral unity of melody and poetry.
The women are really lovely and gracious, the men, gentlemanly and dashing, the kids happy and endearing.....I made friendships for life. And I'm only saddened that I didn't meet them all decades ago.
I stayed at https://lnkd.in/dVv-zdEC There was a ghost there. Her name is Alfarana from the 1400s. I do like women with experience, but 600 years is a bit much, I suppose. lol I think she liked me because I played some guitar and sang, plus had some Chopin playing in the background of my room, wrote poetry of the castle and dreamed of love and grace.

Please visit this city and Bologna, find a way to get there. We have been talking about bringing jazz festivals, food festivals, film festivals, eco tourism, ocean tourism, creating sustainable plant farming with bamboo, using natural sustainable resources to make products like olive oil soaps, lotions etc......you must come and be alive in this place more than once. Stay for the focaccia and Peroni..and in the morning, have some Sospiro with your coffee.
