Thanks to state-of-the-art technology solutions, the thoroughly revised Ford Fiesta is even better equipped for an intelligent, connected driving experience. An example: For the first time, LED headlights (low beam, high beam, daytime running lights) are used as standard in all model variants. In combination with the adaptive LED matrix headlights (optional), they enable glare-free high beam and adapt the light cone to the traffic situation – this leads to even better illumination of the road. Another novelty is the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, which takes operation to a higher level. The local hazard warning (Local Hazard Information) and the wrong-way driver warning function (Wrong-Way Alert) are among the numerous highly developed assistance systems

The electrified mild hybrid engines of the Ford Fiesta combine lower consumption and reduced exhaust emissions with more driving pleasure. Their 48-volt technology improves fuel efficiency as well as the response to commands from the accelerator pedal. It works hand in hand with the state-of-the-art Ford Powershift 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which enables quick and smooth shifting, thereby increasing driving comfort.

1.0 liter EcoBoost mild hybrid (48 volt technology) with 92 kW/125 hp (optionally with 6-speed manual transmission or with 7-speed PowerShift automatic transmission)

The 92 kW/125 hp mild hybrid version is also available with a 7-speed Ford Powershift transmission. The automated dual-clutch shifting enables seamless acceleration with particularly smooth gear changes that take place with virtually no interruption in power flow, and always keeps the engine speed in a particularly efficient range. If the driver spontaneously needs full power, for example for an overtaking manoeuvre, the double-clutch transmission can also downshift three gears at once via kickdown.

The revised Ford Fiesta also supports an engaged driving experience, which can be individually adjusted using the driving mode control and the "Eco", "Normal" and "Sport" programs. In the case of the Ford Fiesta Active, which has a chassis with increased ground clearance, the "Trail" and "Slippery" modes are also added. The system adjusts the response of the gas pedal as well as the sensitivity of the electronic safety and stability program ESP and the traction control as well as the shift points of the powershift automatic transmission, if installed.

The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel is just as practical: it can be configured so that each driver can prioritize the information and navigation instructions displayed according to their individual taste. The digital instrument panel summarizes various functions in thematically meaningful displays that match the selected driving mode. A separate area displays particularly important information, for example about the driver assistance systems.

The new assistance technologies, which provide even more safety and comfort, also include the wrong-way driver warning function (Wrong-Way Alert). It compares the images from the windscreen camera with data from the navigation system and in this way recognizes whether the driver is trying to drive in the wrong direction, for example onto a freeway. In this case, the system uses light and sound signals to warn of the impending danger.

Intelligent systems such as the intelligent, adaptive cruise control system with traffic sign recognition serve to ensure safety. This feature keeps the vehicle at a comfortable and safe distance from the car in front at almost any speed. The versions with dual-clutch transmission also have a Stop & Go function. This means that these vehicles can autonomously brake to a standstill in traffic jams and then start again.
