In this full episode, Owen bravely takes us on his full journey of having to live and survive an extremely serious eating disorder. This all happened when Owen was 15, a critical time in a young man’s life when you are already facing school pressures, body changes and big decisions etc. This made Owen's secondary school experience and teenage years significantly more challenging.

After hiding and making excuses during those years, Owen has now taken a completely different path and is now trying to create as much awareness as he possibly can to make sure that no one else suffers as he did and try and inspire as many people as he can to encourage an open conversation around eating disorders.

During this full-length episode, we discuss various topics such as:

β€’ How this eating disorder began.
β€’ How the progression got more and more drastic.
β€’ The importance of family.
β€’ Support and CAMHS.
β€’ Hiding it extremely well.
β€’ Advice for others who are struggling.

Owen, it has been my absolute pleasure to have you on as a guest. You were truly incredible. Your vulnerability, honesty and openness have been so refreshing and I hope people find real value and strength in your videos and this helps and inspires people to get the help they need.

Do you struggle with your mental health? If so, this channel is for you.
Full confession, I'm not a mental health expert, I'm a family man who loves speaking to people on a very personal level. My name is Matt and I speak from my own life experiences with anxiety and mental health. On this journey so far, I have spoken to a variety of people and the more I listen the more I learn. I’ve started this podcast to create as much inspirational content as possible and the guests coming on are talking about their personal struggles and journeys in life.
➑️ Whenever I have had my own personal battles, I always get the most inspiration from listening to others who have had similar struggles. The more I speak to people, the more I realize we’re far more alike than we are different. The β€œMake Time To Talk” Podcast, covers a variety of mental health topics such as anxiety, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, isolation, introversion vs. extroversion, changing your mindset, overcoming fear, and more.
➑️ Let's collectively fight this battle together and start conversations others fear to start. Let's lift the stigma once and for all with mental health.
I hope you enjoy the content from this podcast and don’t forget to make time to talk. Subscribe to my channel for more and turn on notifications to never miss a video! πŸ””
