We had some great flying in Roldanillo Colombia. The conditions there were pretty intense, and according to pilots who have flown there a lot, they are becoming progressively more intense each year, which was seen in an increase in deaths and accidents this year.

Because of all that we probably flew less than we could have and sometimes even landed because the air was so intense, but it was still great for learning and improving our active flying abilities.

We had some great little XC flights, almost breaking 50kms a few times which for us is definitely an improvement, and we had some amazing flat land flying, with low saves, flying around the edges (and straight into sometimes) of big puffy clouds, and bomb outs in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately it is always really easy to get back to town so bombing out is a non-issue there.

Paragliding in Roldanillo was not the smooth 4 meter a second thermals we were told about, and the launch is really daunting with it's power lines directly in front which on a weak day you get way too close to, but it was still an amazing month of flying for us.
