Neil Pickup shared his predictions about the “East vs West 15” supermatches on Engin Terzi’s channel.

Ivan Matyushenko vs. Alizhan Muratov.
Stylistically, I have Alizhan as a slight favorite in this matchup. The key issue for Matyushenko is more mental than physical; he often doesn't see himself as a favorite, despite being a worthy competitor. Alizhan's explosiveness and versatility give him an edge, as he can change direction mid-match and employ multiple attacks. His confidence is sky-high, and I don't think he believes anyone can beat him. I expect this match to be fast and aggressive, which gives Alizhan a slight edge as the favorite
While Matyushenko is incredibly strong and possesses the fastest wrist in the game, Alizhan has a more dynamic approach. Matyushenko's fluidity and efficiency in a single move make him dangerous, much like Bruce Lee's belief in mastering one technique. The challenge lies in whether Matyushenko has enough skill to counter Alizhan’s power. I see Alizhan as having a 55/45 or 60/40 advantage. His style provides a good opportunity against Matyushenko, as he can attack directly without being overly exposed.
Vitaly Laletin vs Georgi Dzeranov.
In my opinion, Vitaly Laletin is the favorite in his match against Georgi Dzeranov, but I recognize that Georgi poses a genuine threat. Every time he competes, he seems bigger and more powerful, and I’ve been a fan of his for years, even before he gained recognition in events like East versus West. I've talked about his potential since he was winning at the WAF, noting how he resembles a giant blacksmith with incredible strength. However, I still think Vitaly is a 60/40 favorite for this matchup, primarily because he is the most dangerous contender among the orthodox crowd.
Michael Todd vs. Genadi Kvikvinia.
Michael and Genadi have both returned from serious injuries but have shown resilience and determination. I think they have a lot in common in some respects. Michael has immense self-belief, while Genadi is unshakeable—nothing gets to him. His focus is incredible, and he’s proven his toughness time and again. Both share that irrepressible character and never-say-die spirit, which will make for a fantastic showdown. I believe it's going to be an incredibly intense match.
Both men truly believe they can win, and that’s what makes it fascinating. They excel in long matches and feel that when the match stops, that's when they perform best. Neither wants the match to end quickly. Michael is probably the best defensive arm wrestler of all time—you simply can’t pin him. Genadi, on the other hand, is like Teflon—you can throw anything at him, and it won’t stick. He stays unbothered, with his blinkers on, fully focused on the win.
Oleg Zhokh vs Betkili Oniani.
Betkili Oniani is one of my favorite arm wrestlers in the world, without a doubt. I admire everything about him—his attitude, that sinister edge, his confidence, and his swagger. In my opinion, Betkili is an incredible talent, and I truly believe he has the potential to go far. When it comes to his match against Oleg Zhokh, I see Betkili as a slight favorite. His current form is outstanding, and it's going to take something special to beat him. He’s just so solid right now, and I think he's got what it takes.
That being said, I still expect the match to be very competitive. Oleg Zhokh is an exceptional arm wrestler, so Betkili will face a tough challenge. But based on where Betkili is at this moment, I think he's slightly ahead. This is one of the matches I'm most excited about on the card, as it promises to be thrilling and full of intensity. For me, this is the kind of match that could steal the show.
Irakli Zirakashvili vs Georgy Tautiev.
Irakli is a true superstar in the arm wrestling world, continuously improving with each match. He’s proven time and again that he’s a formidable force, and his growth as a competitor is remarkable. On the other hand, Tautiev is an absolute weapon. If you’re unfamiliar with his skills, get ready to be impressed. He’s built for top rolling and embraces risks, which makes him a dangerous opponent. This matchup promises to be thrilling, and I’m excited to see Tautiev make his debut, showcasing just how lethal he can be.
