This time I bring a different project than usual: A detachable piece in stainless steel.

I designed this project around 20021, if I remember correctly, but I was unable to do it due to the demand for orders. A client came to me asking for a project about the Star Wars universe, so I showed him the piece and he approved the idea.

Despite the title, the blade is not made from Beskar, as the price would be too high and the Empire's rates are abusive, so we opted for 420c steel, which is easier to obtain and yields good results. The handle parts are made of the same steel, to preserve the paintwork as it does not rust.

The paints were made especially for this project, and I used an airbrush for the painting (for the first time in my life, so don't judge me...). I based it on the colors of Mando's armor at the beginning of the series, contrasting with the satin steel of the blade, which had its shape inspired by the character's helmet.

As I don't work much with stainless steel, I asked my friend Daniel Ferri for help, who is like an older brother to me in the art of cutlery, always willing to help me. I used your temperature controlled oven and the foil to insulate the blade.

I loved making this piece and seeing it finished. I hope to have more chances to work with the Star Wars universe soon.

Desta vez trago um projeto diferente do habitual: Uma peça desmontável em aço inoxidável.

Desenhei esse projeto por volta de 20021, se não me falha a memória, mas não consegui fazê-lo em função da demanda de encomendas. Um cliente me procurou pedindo justamente por um projeto sobre o universo Star Wars, então mostrei a peça e ele aprovou a ideia.

Apesar do título a lâmina não é feita de Beskar, pois o valor seria alto demais e as taxas do Império são abusivas, então optamos pelo aço 420c que é mais fácil de conseguir e rende bons resultados. As peças da empunhadura são do mesmo aço, para preservar a pintura já que não enferruja.

As tintas foram feitas especialmente para esse projeto, e usei um aerógrafo na pintura (pela primeira vez na vida, então não me julguem...). Me baseei nas cores da armadura do Mando no início da série, contrastando com o aço acetinado da lâmina, que teve sua forma inspirada no elmo do personagem.

Por não trabalhar tanto com aço inoxidável pedi ajuda ao meu amigo Daniel Ferri, que costuma ser para mim como um irmão mais velho na arte da cutelaria, sempre disposto a me ajudar. Usei seu forno de temperatura controlada e o foil para isolar a lâmina.

Adorei fazer essa peça e vê-la pronta. Espero ter mais chances de trabalhar com o universo Star Wars em breve.
