Fraser thinks her notion is ridiculous, but Motibai deceives him into believing she is going to murder Gangadhar Rao in the play. Manu is also invited to the occasion by Motibai. Later on in the day, Indu demands to write Manus' full name on Gangadhar Rao's hand after applying henna to it. As Motibai sees what is happening, she falls on the king, erasing Manikarnika's name off his palm. Manu, who is present throughout the entire event, is concerned.
