The final piece of Keyur's concert was an Ashtapadi, a special compositional form from Sanskrit Literature made up of 8 couplets. The Geet Govinda by Sanskrit poet Jayadev is a set of such 24 Ashtapadi's which found their way into several musical traditions.
Keyur here sings the 7th Ashtapadi from Geet Govinda, set to Chhoti Jhinjhoti in a very Thumri like manner. This version of the Ashtapadi is again from the Gwalior Tradition.
Keyur was accompanied by Parth Tarabadkar on tabla and Saumitra Kshirsagar on harmonium. Tanpura support was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Vijay Desai.
