In this video, we headed out to the Surfside Jetty near Galveston. After a week of heavy rain, we weren't expecting much in terms of fishing conditions. Our original plan was simply to get out and enjoy some time by the water, but we were in for a pleasant surprise. As it turned out, the conditions were perfect for targeting Spanish mackerel. Despite our initial low expectations, we experienced an incredibly successful day of fishing. We managed to catch several sizable Spanish mackerel, making it one of our most memorable trips to the jetty.
