Currently on show at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum is Katharina Grosse Studio Paintings, 1988–2022: Returns, Revisions, Inventions. This is the first ever retrospective exhibit in the United States to showcase the full depths of this artist's studio practice.
Katherina Grosse is a German abstract painter, recognized around the world for her massive, colorful on-site works. In this video she discusses the pieces on display in this exhibit, as well as a number of aspects of her work including scale, color, and the creative process.
