Tije machined ripples on the bottom of his hand made tamper for the La Pavoni and in his setup, this prevents the grinds from 'escaping' and climbing up against the basket wall when he 'nutates' the grinds. Tije uses the new ROK grinder which he modified a little. He added a collar to the bottom of the grinder to help prevent static grinds from flying around (it makes little difference) and he built a seat for the portafilter which also magnetically centers to sit exactly below the outpour of the ROK grinder.
