Back to the South Island! This time I am hiking to the top of Mount Fyffe near Kaikoura.
This is one of the more popular day hikes in New Zealand. Mount Fyffe is only a short drive away from Kaikoura and it takes about 6-8 hours to complete this hike.
Views are simply amazing all the way through but once you reach the summit you can see Kaikoura in the distance!

I highly recommend this hike but be prepared...it's very steep and it can be really cold at the top in winter (like in my case).
