Building a smartphone wooden speaker. I turned a 4ft oak board into a passive speaker for my phone. When you place the phone in the speaker, the sound is noticeably richer and louder. The speaker is made up of four- 9 1/2 oak boards with two-2 1/2 inch holes drilled in them. I also used a scroll saw to router out two channels in one of the boards to allow the sound to come out. Hope you enjoy!
