The Ibanez SRC6MS: a bass guitar not for everyone. Is it worth it? Review / test / demo sound

In this video we review an unusual instrument - the Ibanez SRC-6MS bass. This is not a bass guitar for everyone. It resembles more an electric guitar, but with six bass strings, while offering a unique sound.

We start with the appearance and construction of the guitar - from the body made of exotic wood, to the unique neck made of five layers of wood, to the fingerboard. The Ibanez bass has a unique frets layout, in which each string has a different scale, which affects the sound and harmonic components.

We discuss in detail everything you need to know about this guitar, including the Bartolini BH2 pickups, which provide low dynamics but high sensitivity and articulation response. In addition, we try to answer the question of who this bass guitar is really for.

Finally, we present sound samples that will allow you to experience its unique sonic characteristics. Certainly, this is an instrument that shows how much the world of bass guitars is evolving.
