Delta Airlines Trip Report flying from Denver to Salt Lake City onboard one of Delta Airlines new Airbus A220 on a very turbulent day in Colorado.

A very comfortable flight on the new Delta A220 from Denver to Salt Lake City. The flight was amazing. But I think a lot of people will not agree with me on the reason: it was super bumpy! We had really strong turbulence on the climb when crossing the cloud tops! I even had to fix my hands to the seat in front to avoid losing the camera!

This was my first flight on the Delta A220 and I must say it is a very comfortable plane. The Delta A220 features screens in every single seat, which makes it much more interesting than (I would say) any other A220 cabin in the world. I just loved the window on the toilet. Just perfect!

The flight from Denver to Salt Lake City is quite short. In less than 1 hour and 20 minutes, we were already there. We flew the majority of the time over the Rocky Mountains which, unfortunately, on this day they were covered by clouds. However, we had some very nice glimpses of them from time to time.

The catering service in economy class was good for the duration of the flight. One drink and 2 snacks for a 1h flight seem pretty decent to me. The coffee was quite good. The crew was very polite and seemed they enjoyed the job. It's always great to see happy crews. Even if they don't talk to you, it makes the flight much more enjoyable.

The landing was, again, very turbulent. The actual wind at the moment of landing as reported by the airport (Metar) was 310/29G44. That means 29 knots of steady wind with gusts up to 44 knots. That's quite a strong wind, and that's the reason for the turbulent approach, as that wind was blowing from the mountains.

Now it is your turn!
Have you ever flown with Delta Airlines? How was the experience? Which route? Which aircraft? Have you ever been to Salt Lake City? Maybe in Denver? What do you think about the Delta Airlines experience? Did you ever experience turbulence like this?
Lots of things to talk about! Read you in the comments!
