Obituary for Sharon J. Kepshield

Sharon J. Knepshield, 70 years old, of Pavilion, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2024. Born to Donald and Joan Jacobs on May 27, 1954 Sharon was the second born child and often joked about "middle child syndrome" with her sister Donna (Jeff) Davis and brother Dana (Sylvia) Jacobs.

Sharon married the love of her life on May 4th, 1974. She and Gary displayed what a loving loyal marriage should be to both of their Children Michael (Jennifer) Knepshield of Asheville, NC and Kristy (Matthew) Rowe of Livonia, NY.

The most proud accomplishment Sharon had was her 5 grandchildren. Sharing with them the importance of family, God and country. Both Sharon and Gary loved to attend their Grandchildren's sporting events anytime they could go. The grandchildren, Madison Rowe, Piper Knepshield, Molly Rowe, Dawson Rowe and Amelia Knepshield will miss the BEST "Nana" every day moving forward.

You could always find Sharon in the throes of a new project, quilting, crocheting, knitting or even changing the color of the paint on the walls in their home in Pavilion, NY. She would often find herself in mischievous situations with many of her friends and family. Finding herself in the wrong state, or upside down on a swing at the park and doing the Sour toe Cocktail challenge. Both Sharon and Gary had a fondness of traveling with their friends and family as well and share many wonderful memories of their times together.

Our family would like to thank the many friends and family that offered a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on and prayers during these past difficult months. Family and friends meant the world to Sharon.

Calling hours will be held at Walker Brothers Funeral Home in Churchville, 21 S. Main St., Churchville, NY, 14428, on Thursday October 17, 2024, from 4pm-7pm. A graveside service will be held at Riga Cemetery, Churchville Riga Rd, Churchville, NY 14428 on October 18, 2024, at 1pm. A service to follow at First Congregation Church of Riga, 7057 Chili Riga Center Rd., Churchville, NY 14428.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hollwedel Memorial Public Library, 5 Woodrow Dr., Pavilion, NY, 14525, as Sharon LOVED to read and The Congregational Church of Riga, 7057 Chili Riga Center Rd. Churchville, NY, 14428, where both Sharon and Gary had a strong relationship with God and their Church Family.
