How to design exterior of a home
The first step is to meet with the clients and you give your architect a list of things that you love and hate. There will be lots of back and forth and eventually the architect and home owner will have a ballpark idea of how the house should look.

The next step is to create a 3D design of the home. Once that's completed the client will come back to the office for a walkthrough of the 3D model. The client will notate the things that they like or dislike and a final 3D mock up will be created.

How do you design a building for sustainability?
You should consider how it sits on the site to maximize your south facing windows. It's important to take advantage of how the sun will move across the site.
