Today we did a virtual walking tour of Albany Medical Center also known as AMC. Albany Medical Center is the name of the company that includes Albany Medical Center Hospital and Albany Medical College in Albany, New York.
Though the name Albany Medical Center has been used for over a century to refer to the two hospitals on their shared location, they remained separate until the official Albany Medical Center was formed in 1982.
Every year, AMC bestows the Albany Medical Center Prize, the second-highest monetary honor in medicine and biomedical research in the United States.
The Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital is located within AMCH and serves the region's infants, children, teenagers, and young people ages 0–21.
