Douglas Wakiihuri is a celebrated elite athlete who has made Kenya proud on many occasions. His passion for running reflects in the amount of time he dedicates not just to other athletes, but to helping new runners learn to love long-distance running.
Recently Douglas received a decoration that was conferred by His Majesty The Emperor of Japan, The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, for his contribution to promoting sports and cultural exchanges between Japan and Kenya. A hearty thank you to The Ngong Road Forest Association for allowing Douglas and I to sit and chat at The Sanctuary!
